Gaining Favor in the Neighborhood
Over the next few years, God began to expand our reach. We gained favor with the neighborhood and they started to attend our dinners. We held after-school programs, block parties, food and goods distribution, and various other outreaches. People began to grow in faith through the natural relational discipleship process. Within time, we started a church to build a spiritual community where people could grow deeper in their commitment to the Lord.
The Dark Night of the Soul
During the early years of the church, I went through a dark night of the soul season, which involved tremendous demonic oppression and warfare. Though I am sure this was not truth, I did not feel like there was anyone who would understand what I was experiencing and so I went through a very difficult season without searching for human support.
The Breakthrough: When God Fought for Me
I cried out to the Lord and He began to teach me a lot about the spiritual realm and my identity and authority in Him. I learned what it really meant that He was for me and able to deliver me. He exposed lies that I had been believing that empowered fear and orphan mindsets. He revealed things that I was blind to and took my hand and led me out of a desperate place. I was so changed by His love and the encounters I had with His truth. His kindness forever transformed me. I fell so in love with Him all over again. I knew that nothing was impossible for the Lord and I would spend my future walking with Holy Spirit, taking authority over the works of the enemy. (I like to call this “kicking the devil’s booty.”) It was payback time.
Birthing the Transformation Center
In 2016, He brought together a group that would contend for freedom and wholeness. We birthed the Transformation Center and together with my team, we saw hundreds and hundreds of people encounter the heart of God personally, gaining deep soul healing and deliverance.
The Shift
The Transformation Center focused on providing personal healing sessions for the first 7 years and then God gave us new direction. Over the past couple years, we have been on a unique journey with the heart of God. It has been very sacred for me. I have been posting my story this past week, really so you can understand what has led us to this place He has now called us to. In the days to come, I will be sharing more of how God has been leading our team.
You Were Made for This
For those of you who have been reading this story, thanks for going on the journey with me. I am not telling a story for entertainment. I really believe that God wants to stir up things in your hearts. Sometimes people look at someone who walks strongly in the gifts of the Spirit and think, “Oh they are just special. I couldn’t be like that.” This is a lie from the pit of hell. The invitation to walk with God is available to all of us. It requires surrender. Deep surrender. You have to be willing to die to yourself and allow His fire to burn away everything that is contrary to His kingdom. It requires trust and commitment to follow Him wherever He goes. There is a narrow way that leads to abundant life and incredible partnership with God and I am here to tell you it is for you. He can take the little that you have and do so much with it. He can take your life, even if it feels so messed up and He can turn it around. You have to stop believing lies of limitation and stop condemning and cursing yourself. He sees us so differently than we see ourselves. He sees all the destiny He created you for and my friend, it truly is beautiful. I pray that you will believe this in greater measure and open your heart to what He wants to do in your life next. I believe in you!
